The ALP Trust welcomes applications from all pupils and we are obliged to admit all
pupils provided our PANs are not exceeded. However, where there are places
available for some but not all applications, distance from home to school will be the
deciding factor with preference being given to those whose home address is nearest to the school.

Parents should note that the two middle schools and the two first schools should be
treated as separate for the purposes of admissions applications although a place will
normally be offered within the trust if one is available. Parents should also note that
entry into one school within the trust does not guarantee automatic entry into the next
phase as the admission criteria will be applied at each school phase change.

In cases where an application for a place has been unsuccessful, parents may request that the child’s name to be placed on a reserve list for the school in question. Reserve lists will only be maintained until 30 September of the year in question.

Arrangements for school transport to and from trust schools will be provided as per the County policy. Further details regarding this are available from the Schools
Admissions Team or the School Transport Team at County Hall, 01670 533000.
