Spain Trip 2011Hirst Parks first ever trip to Spain this year was a huge success and enjoyed by all! We took 25 of our students to the charming seaside town of Tossa de Mar, near Barcelona, for 5 days of language learning and fun. The minute we stepped off the plane in Barcelona the students were conversing with the locals in Spanish, especially Jay Ferguson – te gusta mi sombrero. On our first day we visited the sights of Barcelona, including the stunning Sagrada Familia, Park Guell and Le Rambla. The next morning we did some sight seeing and shopping in the medieval city of Girona, then spent the afternoon at the Salvador Dali Museum in Figueres. On our final day we took a boat trip up the coast to a stunning beach, where we chilled out and topped up our tans – some of us more than others (Mitchel!!) To sum up we had a great time, spoke lots of Spanish and ate ridiculous amounts of sweets! Thanks for a fab trip kids!! Miss Hooker
France Trip 2010Hirst Park's trip to France was a huge success and enjoyed by all! We took 41 our our finest students to St Omer, for 5 days of language learning and fun. We stayed in our very own chateau, called Le Chateau d'Ebblinghem, just outside the village of St Omer, near Calais in the north-east of France. Our days were packed with fun activities, including a canal boat ride in Bruges, a visit to a French bakery and a fantastic day at Plopsaland theme park! All the students were very well behaved and did us proud. Everyone gave 100% to every activity, made new friends and made the most of every minute of the trip.
